Molly Goddard beauty channeled 1980s Camden Market

For her Fall 2022 runway, Molly Goddard took time back to the 1980s. No, not tracksuits and big shoulder pads, but rather your friend’s mother walking through Camden Market on a Sunday morning in the 80s Or rather, the mother of Goddard’s friend, who loosely inspired the collection.

Taking place at the Seymour Leisure Center, the show was a jubilant celebration full of cozy knits, eclectic prints and Goddard’s signature tulle dresses, all layered on top of each other to create that mismatched, just-tossed look.

Likewise, the makeup was glamorous but undone. “I would describe the look as clean glamor with a real feel,” says makeup artist Thom Walker. “A little homemade” The skin was prepped and glowing thanks to the 111Skin team. This was complemented with Givenchy Prisme Libre Skin Caring Glow Foundation “to create effortless minimal coverage.” Walker used stippling brushes to create a natural polished finish, using concealer under the eyes where necessary.

The central element of the look was a winged eye, which combined with the clothing added to the overall eclecticism. “We use Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gel to create a perfectly black solid liquid liner. The liner was super straight to bring an 80s feel while still being modern and graphic,” Walker explained. To create this wide-eyed look, mascara Givenchy Noir Couture was used only on the lower lashes.
